During this one day celebration there will be an art show and you are invited to participate in this art event. There is no entry fee. Any medium is welcome. Art work can be for sale and cash prizes will be awarded.  The art work must be appropriate for the general public. The art work can be anything that relates to the history of the dam and it's benefits to the Grand Valley.  We are working out the details so more information will be coming.

To get the ball rolling, Nancy Lewis has setup two different painting events.
  1. There will be three open studio  Roller Dam painting sesssion on Tuesday March 10, 17 and 24  at the Artist Haven from 1:00 to 4:00pm. The idea is to paint images of the dam during this open studio. The fee will be a dollar an hour per person paid to the Artist Haven.  Photos of the dam, both old and new will be available from which to work. Come share this unique opportunity to participate in this Roller Dam 100th year celebration!!
  2. The second event is painting on location at the Roller Dam in mid April. This plein air painting opportunity is so unique that it may never happen again.  See how the dam works up close and personal. Paint it on location, take photos for references. Because we will be shuttled in, space will be limited.  Please  RSVP to Nancy Lewis(nancy@nblewis.com) if you are interested in participating.   Tentatively the date is April 10th at 8:00am meet time and paint till 1:00pm
